About Property Styling with Vera
-
Property styling (also called home staging) is the art of furnishing and dressing a home so it photographs beautifully and sells well. Interior design is about how you live in a space long-term. Styling is about how a buyer feels the moment they walk through the door - and how the property looks in the listing photos that bring them there.
Every Vera install includes a selection of modern, hand-sourced artisan and vintage pieces rather than catalogue furniture, so your home doesn't look like the last three listings a buyer scrolled past.
-
We are design-lead at heart. We have carefully considered our inventory and use many custom made pieces that will stand out and create a lasting impression. We never want our projects to feel cut and paste, and work hard to create a bespoke package for every home.
-
Styled homes consistently photograph better, attract more online enquiry, and help buyers picture themselves living there - which is where emotional connection (and competitive bidding) starts. Your agent will have local data on what styling has done for comparable properties in your suburb, and we're always happy to talk it through alongside them.
-
Absolutely. We work alongside agents across Brisbane and South East Queensland and are very used to slotting into a campaign timeline. Agents - get in touch about ongoing arrangements. We can also work directly with the client.
Packages & Pricing
-
Our smallest styling package starts at $3500 +GST. Every property is different, so we'll always give you a tailored quote after we've seen the floor plan and photos.
If your property just needs some lighting styling, get in touch for a personalised quote. -
Your quote covers sourcing and selection, delivery and install, styling of every nominated space, the full hire period, and collection at the end. Everything arrives styled and finished - art, lamps, linen, greenery and all the layered details that make a room feel considered rather than furnished.
-
Our standard hire is a four-week minimum, plus two complimentary weeks. If your campaign runs longer, extensions are charged at 15% of the package fee per additional week.
-
We do. Partial styling works well when a property already has some strong pieces, or when only key rooms need lifting for photography. Because so many factors are involved - what's staying, what needs to go, how the existing furniture sits with our pieces, and how the rooms photograph together - we quote partial styling individually rather than from a set price list. Send through photos and a floor plan and we'll come back to you.
Logistics
-
Most commonly we style vacant properties only. However, it’s always worth getting in touch about your specific situation.
Our inventory is hand-curated, and many of the pieces are vintage, artisan-made or one-of-a-kind. Living around furniture that's been chosen for photography (rather than for daily life) risks damage that can't be replaced. It also gives us complete control of the styling, which is ultimately what delivers the best result for your campaign.
If you're still in the home, talk to us early - many sellers move out or into short-term accommodation for the campaign, and we can help you plan the timing around your photography date.
-
As early as you can - ideally three weeks before your photography date. Campaign season in Brisbane gets busy, and booking early gives us time to source properly for your home rather than working from what's left on the shelf. This is apart of what sets us apart from others - truly a bespoke experience from start to finish and time will buy you that.
-
Wonderful news - and the furniture stays until the end of your hire period regardless. Just let us know your settlement timing and we'll book collection around it.
-
Some pieces are available to buy and some are core inventory we hold onto. If you fall in love with something, ask us - we'll always let you know what's possible.
-
Most installs are completed in a day, and we always aim to have the home finished the day before photography so the space is settled and camera-ready.
Photography
-
Absolutely. A beautifully styled home deserves photography that does it justice, and these are just a few of the photographers we love working with:
All three shoot interiors with a genuinely editorial eye - the kind of imagery that works just as hard on your portfolio and socials as it does on the listing.
-
For property staging - photography is booked separately, usually by your agent. We're happy to coordinate directly with your photographer on timing so the home is finished and light is right on the day.
For editorial, airbnb and portfolio - we can absolutely book this in as a package deal.
